I posted this on the Mastermind Club Facebook page, and thought I’d post it here as well. I received this email yesterday :-

“Dear Londinius

I found your email address when looking for information on Mastermind. I understand that you know a lot about it.

I'm trying to track down a recording of my brother, Andrew Hillier, from years ago. I believe his specialist subject was regarding horse racing. He is now 75 and has a terminal illness and I think it would tickle him pink if I could get a recording of the programme so he could watch it with his great niece and nephews.

Do you have any idea how I could find the recording? I've looked in the online BBC archive listing but can't find it. I hope you're able to help me move forward with this.

 Best regards

Jenny Copeland”

I compiled a database of all Mastermind contenders up to the 50^th anniversary in 2022. However it’s on my old laptop and I haven’t been able to download it yet. If I do manage to do this, I will let you know in which year Andrew appeared. If you can help at all, please leave a comment.
