Thanks again Dave! Some great preparation for tonight there.

As for Eurovision, if I ever go on Mastermind, which will be some years from now, I will be heading in with Eurovision as one of my specialist subjects. Such a guilty pleasure for me. just a shame we didnt win this year as I really wanted to attend next year, but dont fancy the trip to Baku!

Sadly none of these came up in the last quiz I did, but a useful guide nonetheless, especially for one of my regular quizzes.

I had also read the wine thing and I believe Italy went from fourth to second, overtaking France and the US but remaining behind Australia. Also I answered Huckabee, Trump never entered my mind as I never thought he would actually run!

Sorry that was me, was in a different account for some reason.

Hi Daniel

You're welcome. Quizzes and Eurovision ? You are a man of rare taste and discernment. Its very much a guilty pleasure of mine, made all the easier to bear by the fact that my wife loves Eurovision too.

Hi Hugh

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. News questions should be printed with a government health warning - just because they are begging to be asked, doesn't mean that they are actually going to be asked. I went to the Thursday quiz, and only two news items I've picked out so far this month were asked - and I've written about 250 in the news questions since the start of this month alone !
