Your quiz story reminded me of another incident.
ReplyDeleteA barmaid was reading from a quiz book and asked for the year of the Battle of the Somme. A team asked if we could have two years either way. "It's a tough question," she said, "so yeah." Cue everyone getting it spot on, even if they didn't know the answer!

My favourite moment so far is a bar man who printed off questions from website failing to realise that the theme of the quiz he printed was that every single answer was Ireland!
