I think I would have got more right in the second half of the round than Julia did, but I certainly wouldn't have had all the ones right that she had in the first minute.

Of the five finalists so far, Ian and Diane I know personally, so I'm afraid that they are cursed with support from the sofa at the moment. Still , if a LAM reader such as Paul or Min joins them in the final, then that could all change . Watch this space !

DaveLondiniushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07871325359167581176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401280171563686515.post-38774129603962542722011-04-04T06:56:52.750-07:002011-04-04T06:56:52.750-07:00Relative difficulties of GK sets are fairly subjec...Relative difficulties of GK sets are fairly subjective, for what it's worth I thought Hamish and Thomas had the trickiest sets, with Rachel and Lee's being the most accessible, for me at least. The last couple of shows seem to have seen a stepping up of the general level of difficulty though. Like Chris I generally expect to get into double figures on a typical 2 minute GK round, but I only managed it twice on this show, my aggregate GK score for the 5 rounds coming in at 41, my lowest, by some distance, since I started counting.Ewan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15634824712637908230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401280171563686515.post-78205838342506661492011-04-04T06:52:30.799-07:002011-04-04T06:52:30.799-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Ewan Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15634824712637908230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401280171563686515.post-23827549551857731932011-04-04T06:12:00.269-07:002011-04-04T06:12:00.269-07:00I think Rachel got the hardest set of GK by some d...I think Rachel got the hardest set of GK by some distance, taking nothing away from Julia though - a solid performance if not spectacular.DaveBillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11922356884265025843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401280171563686515.post-16988484327912256412011-04-04T05:22:15.628-07:002011-04-04T05:22:15.628-07:00I'd never even hear of Calvin and Hobbes!I'd never even hear of Calvin and Hobbes!joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11923451190329968480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401280171563686515.post-61473087963173179642011-04-03T01:44:53.819-07:002011-04-03T01:44:53.819-07:00No question who I'll be rooting for as Julia a...No question who I'll be rooting for as Julia and I went to the same secondary school (Kendrick - Reading). I would normally expect to get into double figures but the only one I did so on was Julia's. It wasn't that the questions were ridiculously obscure but even watching at home, I seemed to catch the same mental paralysis that seemed to afflict the contestants.
Maybe it was just me but...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
