I wasn't banned for refusing once, but in a pub John and I used to frequent about 10 years ago now on a Sunday night , after we refused to trade answers with anyone for several weeks in a row we were told on the quiet that everyone thought that we were very bad sports and were absolutely not playing in the spirit of the game.

As regards putting down answers you know to have been arrived at through dishonesty, there isn't any dilemma really. If you didn't have the answer, and then it is offered to you through means that you know to have been dishonest, then you can't accept it.

Londiniushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07871325359167581176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5401280171563686515.post-16650864959640636222012-09-24T07:49:16.310-07:002012-09-24T07:49:16.310-07:00Hi David. I hope the new term is treating you well!

It is funny you should say that as it has happened a fair few times to me and I never know whether to put it down.

For instance, once every so often I quiz with a team where one member is one of these people who knows everybody in the pub! So inevitably when he gets chatting to someone the quiz is brought up and answers are gained. I hate gaining an answer this way and usually try to avoid putting it but sometimes, especially if Im not in charge of the pen it happens. I don't want to sound like an unsociable so and so, but I much prefer quizzing when it is just me and my other half then I know answers will be true!

Also I hate when the team next to us offer to "trade". Puts me in an awkward position of sorts.DanielFullardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07635161450969202410noreply@blogger.com
