The truth is that I know how good Alan is, and so at half time I threw the game plan out of the window and decided to gamble all on going for speed. It didn't pay off. I didn't listen properly, I snatched at things, and I changed my mind at least twce from correct answers to wrong ones. In going for speed I lost the necessary attentiveness and clarity of thought. <br /><br />It is true that the questions did not especially suit me and there is at least one other set that I would have aced even with my speed tactic.
